    In our ongoing effort to keep the community up to date with regard to COVID-19, the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne provides you with the following information: We have received confirmation from the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU) that nine (9) of our residents at the Tsiionkwanonhso:te Long-Term Care Facility have tested positive for COVID-19, as well as 10 of our staff.     An Akwesasne man is facing numerous charges after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop and ramming a state police vehicle. On Saturday, Jan. 2, state police say troopers stopped a vehicle on state Route 37 in Fort Covington for allegedly speeding, 46 mph in a posted 30 mph zone.
