    The Snake Island Muskies competed against the Tyendinaga Thunderbirds in a challenging match that ended in a 17-7 victory for the visiting Thunderbirds on June 29 at the Massena Arena.     In Senior B lacrosse action the Snake Island Muskies hosted the St. Regis Braves. The two Akwesasne teams took to the floor at the Massena Arena on Thursday, June 21. The Braves won in a 14-3 victory in the match-up. In the first period, the Braves outscored the Muskies six goals to two.     Kanatakon School recently celebrated students who maintained perfect attendance as part of the 2016-2017 school year. Students in Headstart to grade six were rewarded with a day at the Aquatic Center and a kickball game and BBQ with local law enforcement officers from the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police and the Akwesasne Mohawk Police.
