    On Sunday, the Akwesasne Cancer Support Group hosted its third annual Hats for Hope at the Seniors Center. Often during chemotherapy, cancer patients will lose their hair and these hats are meant to not only keep their heads warm stylishly, but also put a smile on their face and let them know that someone cares.     A community meeting was held by the Environmental Protection Agency to collect public comments about the proposed Grasse River Superfund Site cleanup. Members of the EPA were there, including medical personnel and legal counsel. The evening was opened by David Kluesner who was a veteran of the Passaic River Cleanup project.     On Thursday night the acting CKON Board of Directors held a special meeting to fill a vacancy. HAVFD station # 1 was nearly empty as only a handful community members attended.     On Nov. 13 Akwesasne native Teiohontathe Fallan Davis’ human rights tribunal began. Six years after the CBSA incident, she gets another shot. She had her first tribunal hearing in March 2011, but it got dismissed after a member dropped out.
