This week we go back to the Phyllis Point case for our conclusion on the evidence gathered. There were a lot of interesting occurrences that happened and audio evidence collected; there were things that even amazed us to find out and how everything lined up with the family history. But before we get too far ahead of ourselves we will do a short lesson in how we classify Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) and how the science came to be so. Many attribute the system we use now to Sarah Estep,...

When Skennenrahawi, the Peacemaker, walked among the Iroquois over 800 years ago his plan was to create the world’s first united nations entity dedicated to the idea that human beings may live in a world without war. To accomplish this he created a set of rules called the Kaienerakowa or the Great Law of Peace. This code provided the Iroquois not only with a constitutional form of government but also directed them to reach out to other nations to present them with an opportunity to join the league. The resulting Haudenosaunee Confederacy w...

It was a blessing in disguise that PICEI found itself having to relocate the site of the “50/50 Last Shall Be First” annual fund raiser from the previous location, to 37 West Steakhouse & Lounge in Hogansburg this year. The members appreciated the convenience of being able to have a fine lunch and excellent meals while working throughout the day. Most of all, they enjoyed the elegant atmosphere, fine service and delicious foods of the chef. It reminded PICEI’s loyal volunteer members of a New York five star restaurant, or of dining on a luxurio...

CLEAN UP: 1. Choose a well-ventilated area to clean the battery leakage so you aren’t harmed by inhaling any fumes. A garage with the door open, a room with several open windows, or outside on a picnic table are all places to clean up a battery leakage. 2 Put on your rubber gloves and protective eyewear. 3. Determine whether the batteries that have leaked are alkaline or acid. Use vinegar or lemon juice to clean an alkaline battery leakage; use baking soda to clean an acid battery leakage. 4 U...

Why the Animal Life is in Distress Prominent scientists from around the world are beginning to make conclusions that are very similar to the prophesies of many Native Peoples. Biologists tell us that we are currently involved in a catastrophic loss of plant and animal species. Current estimates are that worldwide, between 18,000 and 73,000 species become extinct every year. Between 50 and 200 species a day will never again be seen on Mother Earth! As our Creation story continues and the twins battle for control over Creation, fewer and fewer...
This past weekend couldn’t have delivered more beautiful weather. Sunday our family drove out to Upper Canada Village for something different to do. When the weather is nice we usually hit one of the local playgrounds or just hang around home letting the boys run around the yard. They have spent the summer and most of the fall season driving their power wheels, pushing their Hot Wheels through dirt and of course accumulating grass stains on their knees as well as their jeans. We had heard there was a Wood Lover’s Weekend happening at Upper Can...
What a beautiful weekend everyone had over this Native Heritage and Canadian Thanksgiving holidays. It makes one think that the snow and cold weather is a long way off. This weather make s us let down our guard and not think of keeping an environment that is good for everyone’s intake and outtake of air. To maintain a good “moisture ridden” environment especially for children you may need to think about purchasing a humidifier. We all talk about dehumidifiers and the work they do, but many times we forget that heating with electric or wood...
I want to tell you about my son’s first muskie catch. His name is Tryton Benedict and he is 7 years old. We were trolling along the St. Lawrence River and he hooked into this 48-inch 28-lb. muskie. It took him about 15-minutes to reel it in and he was so happy about his catch, look at the smile on his face. Tryton wasn’t scared at all to handle the fish. He is definitely hooked on fishing, he goes out with me every chance he can get now....

The Massena Red Raiders boys traveled to Ft. Covington last Thursday for a rematch against the Shamrocks. The last time the two teams got together Salmon came away with a 2-1 victory. However, technically it was considered a tie since penalty shots were used so a team could advance for tournament purposes. The Raiders did not let a technicality get in the way as they posted a 3-1 win over Salmon River. Joey Labelle opened the scoring for Massena 18 minutes into the game off an assist from Zach...
