Massena, Salmon River volleyball victorious over B-M, Malone, Tupper Lake

The Massena and Salmon River volleyball teams had recent luck in tilts with Brushton-Moira, Franklin Academy and Tupper Lake.

The Raiders defeated Brushton-Moira on Friday, Sept. 20. The score was 3-0. The set scores were 25-13, 25-17 and 25-11. Delany Durant had 16 service points and five kills. Tsiakoseriio David had seven service points and eight kills. Anna Thompson had eight service points and four kills. Olivia Morrell had nine service points and 20 assists.

The same day, Salmon River bested Malone 3-0 by scores of 25-22, 25-15 and 25-18. Kylee Smoke had 12 assists. Rylie Gray had 7 service points, three aces and nine kills. Kendall Jock pitched in five service points. Kania Swamp served up five points with nine kills. Tyana Benedict served four points. Kyra Cree tallied three service points and one block. Ryanna Bero fashioned four kills.

On Monday, Sept. 16, the Raiders won 3-0 against Malone. Set scores were 25-22, 25-18 and a close 26-24. Delany Durant served up 11 points, including two aces, and had five kills. Olivia Morrell also served up 11 points. She also notched 17 assists. Anna Thompson had nine service points and five kills. Tsiakoseriio David had nine service points and seven kills.

The same day, the Shamrocks won 3-0 against Brushton-Moira. Set scores were 25-11, 25-13 and 25-13. Ryanna Bero served nine points. Rylie Gray had eight service points and four kills. Tyana Benedict fashioned six service points with three kills. Kania Swamp served up five points with five kills. Kendall Jock served three points with two kills. Kyra Cree had three service points and a pair of kills. Halle Lazore served three points with four assists. Kylee Smoke tallied seven service points and two assists.

On Wednesday, Sept. 18, Cheateaugay beat Massena 3-2. On the same evening, Malone beat Salmon River 3-1.

Malone won the first two sets against SRC 25-19 and 25-23. The third set went to the 'Rocks 25-14. Malone regrouped and bested the fourth set, which came to a very close 26-24 final score.

Tyana Benedict served up 10 points with five kills.

Rylie Gray fashioned seven service points with six kills. Ryanna Bero served five points with three kills. Kania Swamp recorded four service points and eight kills. Kylee Smoke connected for eight assists. Halle Lazore had five assists and three kills.
