At a recent SD&G track and field meet 18 of the 25 CCVS Raiders have moved on to the Eastern Ontario Secondary School Athletic Association Championships (EOSSAA) to be held this Thursday and Friday in Kingston, Ontario. Five of the eighteen athletes set new CCVS records in the process.

Camren Oakes set two school records running 11.62 in the midget boys 100 m for a new best time in that event. He also set a record in the 200 m, and then breaking his own records at a meet in Quinte. The new 200m record is set at 23.61.

Hailee Lafrance threw 23.00m, setting a new record in midget girls discus.

Chantal Delormier ran her best with a 58.55 run in the junior girls 300m hurdles, setting a new CCVS record.

Also setting new records are; Elaina Read, who won the junior girls triple jump setting the new CCVS record of 10.19m and Ashley Langelier with a leap of 5.50m broke her own school record in the senior girls long jump.

CCVS coach Mike Craig is hoping several of his atheltes will move on to the Regional meet.
