New lighting, new scoreboard, new season for our National game.

The Anowarako:wa Arena was open for business as of last week after being closed for several months due to a fire.

After the fire, the ice rink was taken out and while repairs where being done, local hockey teams took to the road, mainly at the Benson Center in Cornwall.

The floor has been in for two weeks and this weekend the lacrosse action officially begins. The Akwesasne Storm minor league hosts teams from Cornwall all day Saturday until Saturday night when the Junior "B" Indians play their first regular season home game as they host Kahnawake.

The Indians have a game Friday night on the road in Gloucester.

On Sunday the Minor Lacrosse teams again host a series of games against Nepean.
