"Little Heroes Safety Training Camp" Beefs Up National Safe Kids Week

On Monday, June 5th starts National Safe Kids Week and runs until Saturday, June 11th, 2017. This year, the MCA Community Health Program is giving it a spin and notching it up a bit. Using the theme “Superheros” and how safety is part of being a hero, they’ve created a day of fun and learning about Sun Safety, Hydration in the Heat and Water and Road Safety.

All kids will go through an age appropriate circuit of fun booths and after each booth the participants will have their ‘passport’ stamped. Once finished, they can stop at the ‘Super Hero Safety Certification’ table to receive their ‘Certification’.

Kids will also enjoy a Power Fuel Station (nutritious snacks and drinks fit for a Superhero to enhance their super sight and brain power).

And since every Superhero needs a cape, a booth will be set up help create one for your aspiring hero. For further proof of your little Superhero, a photo booth will be set up for pictures.

Whether your little superhero is arriving in an original costume or a store bought one, make sure to take your little superhero to check out the costume contest for best costume, most original, family power and safety first. On the Superhero active side, kids can participant in an obstacle course for ages 2 to 15 years old to burn off some of that ‘Superhero’ energy.

A light dinner will be served from 5:00 to 5:30 pm.

You can register your future Superhero at http://www.studiobookingsonline.com/MCACommunityHealthProgram

This camp is free, but make sure you register early since space is limited. In addition to MCA Community Health, this event is also sponsored by Seven Dancers Coalition, Akfit Akwesasne, Wholistic Health, ACFS, AMPS, SRMT Police, and Healthy Families NY.
