Water Fun Day!

Grade 4 and 5 Kanata:kon School students enjoyed the Water Fun day that included the pirate ship, water balloons and more.

Kanata:kon School students in grades 4 and 5 were treated to Water Fun Day on Tuesday, June 19, 2016, as part of the end-of-the-school-year activities. Students made water balloons, ran through sprinklers and played on a wooden pirate ship playground. Students also had to opportunity to watch and interact with Aaron and Pudgie King's farm animals, which include pigs, horses, cows and chickens. Ida Oakes was surprised to find the students outside of her house that morning. She said she heard laughter and yelling outside and she went to her window and found the children playing by her house. Ida, who is 92, really had an enjoyable time sitting on her porch and watching the kiddies play. Water Fun Day was held as a way to get the student outside and to let them play in nature, without technology. Everyone had a fun time!
