FULL-TIME – 3 YEAR TERM POSITION (w/possibility of permanency) WHOLISTIC HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAM DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

 


Annual Salary: SP06 step 2 -3; $49,219.54 - $51,188.32

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Immediate Supervisor and the Program Manager, the incumbent is to provide, plan, develop and implement cultural/traditional programs and to provide direct counseling services. The incumbent is to ensure client monitoring within the prescribed program plan and delivery of cultural and traditional programming. The incumbent will assist the client in understanding their culture and tradition, providing knowledge that will assist with emotional healing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of a Bachelors Degree in the field of Social work or related field with 3 years of documented supervisory experience and extensive knowledge of native cultural and traditional teachings and methods; OR

• Extensive knowledge and experience of Traditional Cultural practices, with fluency in Mohawk language, with the expectation that the incumbent will complete counseling certificates within two (2) years of hiring and maintain certificates.
