TOURISM COORDINATOR

FULL-TIME TERM POSITION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

 


Salary Level: DS 08 - $45,697.98

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, the incumbent is responsible to oversee services and provide information and advice pertaining to tourism in the region. The incumbent will also be responsible for the overall coordination and operation of the Tourism Centre and to bring together and promote all local events, local businesses and local artisans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s Degree or higher in Tourism Management, Ecotourism, Hospitality and Tourism Management or related field. A minimum of three years of experience or vocational training in the field of tourism.

Incumbent must possess a strong knowledge of Akwesasne and surrounding areas. Must also have excellent computer skills i.e.; Microsoft Office programs. Must possess exceptional organizational, communication, writing, and customer service skills. Ability to travel is also a requirement.
