Salary Level: ECE $38,846.08-$40,399.92
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Centre Supervisor, and the Ministry of Children and Youth Services (MCYS) license, and the College of Early Childhood Educators, the incumbent is responsible for providing a positive learning environment that enhances and supports each child’s cultural, physical, social, emotional, creative and cognitive development in conjunction with team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ontario College diploma in Early Childhood Education; two years experience in child care; maintain registration with the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario (AECEO), or be willing to obtain upon hire.
Computer skills i.e.; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) along with oral, written and communication skill. Must maintain flexibility to move from one Centre to another or from room to room, if needed. Incumbent must be an effective team player, with excellent interpersonal skills. Must be willing to use personal vehicle during the course of employment. Ability to speak the Mohawk language, and knowledge of the Mohawk culture and community are considered assets.
