On Tuesday March 5th at the Benson Centre the Typhoon Black novice defeated the Red novice 1-0 for the League Championship. Leah Whelan netted the Black novice goal for the win. The Black novice also ended their league season in first place and with 3 tournament championships (Cornwall, Kingston and Nepean) under their belt. They have one last tournament in Kanata on March 22-24 before they end their hockey season. Coach Ian Laplante commented how well the girls play as a team and how much they grew into the sport of hockey. Congratulations Novice Black Typhoon League Champions!
