Massena Overpowers Salmon River 3-1

 Fort Covington - The Salmon River Boys Varsity Hockey team dropped a match-up against the Massena Red Raiders 3-1.

The 1st period started off quickly with Ryan Moffit scoring to get the Red Raiders on the board first. Salmon River’s Nathan Smoke reacted by scoring a goal off a play set up by Ty Terrance to even the score 1-1.

The second period was a lot of back and forth offensive and defensive plays but neither team could finish off the offensive plays.  

Entering the 3rd period with the score tied 1-1, the Red Raiders took advantage of a power play with Anthony Cortese scoring on a play set up by Patrick Manning. Later in the 3rd period, Ian Wilson scored for the Red Raiders from a play set up by Jordan Hart.

Ryan Moffit, Anthony Cortese, and Ian Wilson all collected one goal for the Massena offense, while Nathan Smoke got the lone goal for Salmon River. Cory Garrow stopped 25 shots, while Conner Paquin deflected 10 shots.
