The Akwesasne Attack girls are mainly from Akwesasne and Massena, and have played in competitive tournaments across New York State since May. The weekend of July 21, 2012 they competed in “The 1812 Shootout” in Sacketts Harbor near Watertown. Dozens of teams statewide competed. The Akwesasne grade 5/6 girls showed how hard work and dedication can pay off as they went undefeated in all games, including the intense championship match-up against Adirondack (Albany region.) This is a major accomplishment for these girls. The coaches and family are extremely proud and wanted to share the victory with Akwesasne.
