Red Raider Boys Overpower the Wildcats

The Massena Central boys’ basketball team continued their winning ways by defeating Gouverneur, 48-28 in NAC Central Division action last week. Massena had a very balanced attack with nine players scoring points.

Troy Myers led the way with 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Zach Russaw tallied nine points while Rhoades Tarbell struck for seven. Zach Hopps contributed five points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.
The highlight of the game was when the Red Raider manager came off the bench and contributed five points to the winning cause. When he went off the court he was given a standing ovation by the fans and both teams.
The Wildcats were led by Mark Horne who netted ten points. Adding to the score was Nathan Guesford with nine points and nine rebounds.
The Raiders improve their record 9-3 overall and 3-1 central.
In JV action, the Red Raiders outlasted the Wildcats 48-42. Massena was led by Logan Deshane with 18 points. Jayce Lanning contributed four points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Colby Larche and Jacob Goyco added seven points each.
