Learning to skate with Salmon River Skating Club

Intermediate students circle the ice with instructor Teri Taylor.

For over 25 years, the Salmon River Skating Club has taught children of all ages how to skate, many of them continuing on to figure skate and play hockey. The club is for children ages 3 to 18 from beginner to intermediate. The cost is $95.00 for the season with deals if you are enrolling more than one child. The club meets on Sundays for a half hour lesson between 4pm and 9pm at the Salmon River arena. Currently, the club has a total of 81 students and unfortunately will no longer accept new students. However, you can watch for announcements for their annual ice show Feb. 28 and can enroll your child next October.
