In 1999 the doors opened at the HAVFD for women when Sheila Adams joined. Since then Alyssa Lazore and Sandra Boots have joined. Women are not given preferential treatment, they must pass all required testing and must be physically fit to carry their equipment and to perform all duties as required as a Level "A" firefighter. Photo by Kaniethonkie
