    On Tuesday night, Emmy Mitchell brought some visitors from Labrador to Akwesasne. Evelyn Winters and Nympha Maria Byrne are from way, way up north, Goose Bay, and their first stop was at the Homemakers in Snye, where they were treated to a corn soup dinner.     To the Editor, I recently attended the financial meeting put on by Tribal Council and the finance division of the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe. Two budgets were discussed; the current one for 2014 and the budget for 2015 that has to be completed before the end of December. Tribal human resources may be one area that may be affected by the upcoming budget work. I can see some areas that may be looked at.     Union Springs, NY -- Early Monday morning, Cayuga leaders learned that Clint Halftown’s hired mercenaries were forcibly taking over the Lakeside Trading store in Union Springs.     The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe held a Drug Paraphernalia Forum on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Office for the Aging. The forum addressed concerns about the sale of drug paraphernalia in the community, but its main focus was on education, the roots of addiction and local resources regarding where and how to seek help.
