  • Woman charged in fatal crash pleads not guilty

    An Akwesasne woman was formally indicted last week for allegedly driving while drunk and striking and killing a man with the minivan she was operating. According to police, Jessica Lazore, 27, struck 21-year-old Tyson Arquette on St. Regis Road in Akwesasne at around 5 a.m. on January 15, 2010. Lazore, who according to police remained at the scene, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, vehicular manslaughter and vehicular assault. Arquette had reportedly been walking on St. Regis Road after celebrating his 21st birthday....
