Six Salmon River Mohawk Club students along with Mohawk Club Advisor Katsitsionni Fox, and chaperone Elizabeth Perkins left for New Mexico on March 26, 2015.     The Salmon River Central School District Board of Education is currently considering one finalist, Stanley Harper, for the superintendent of schools position. The Board of Education is currently in discussion with Harper to finalize contractual arrangements. Upon successful completion of contractual arrangements the Board plans to vote on the appointment of the superintendent in a timeframe that will allow the new superintendent to start on June 28, 2015.     AKWESASNE -- A 10-year-old girl reported missing late on the afternoon of April 18 was found safe after an intensive search by more than 20 people, including emergency responders from St. Lawrence and Franklin counties.     A group of nearly 10,000 people headed by several Massena residents are using social media in an attempt to attract Tesla Motors to the area. The Facebook group “Tesla Motors for Massena” had 9,349 members as of April 19.     Malone-based state police charged four youths from Snye after they allegedly vandalized a Fort Covington barn and posted a video of them in the act on social media. Truman R. Square, 16, of Snye, Que., and three juvenile males, also from Snye, Que., ages 12, 11, and 10, were each charged with a felony count of criminal mischief on the evening of April 19.
