The Akwesasne Women Warriors travelled to Whitby, Ontario this past weekend July 6th-8th to participate in the Annual Chicks with Sticks tournament. The first game on Friday was a loss to Toronto Stars by a score of 6-3. Scoring for the Warriors was Shaydi Oakes with 2 goals and Heather Square with one goal. The girls would like to blame this on road legs! Saturday the Women Warriors played Sherbrooke and defeated them on a score of 6-0. Scoring was Heather Square with one goal, Waheshon Lazore...
Akwesasne Intermediate Girls Storm Lacrosse hosted their season opener Sunday, May 13th. They played host to the Kahnawake Mohawks. Outshooting and outscoring the Mohawks, the Storm won the game 2-0. Scoring for the Storm was #17 Apryl Thompson, assisted by #12 Tommi Lee Thomas and #22 Alisha Jacobs assisted by #23 Orenda Herne. The Akwesasne Girls Storm will travel to Kahnawake to face the Mohawks again on Sunday, May 20th at 11am....
