Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

​The following individuals have been nominated to the Akwesasne Communication Society Board of Commissioners: Jamie Ross, Louis (Doug) Jacobs, Marjorie Skidders, David Cole and Peter Garrow. There are two three-year seats to be filled.  

Eligible voters must be at least 18 years of age and in possession of a Mohawk Nation Red Card, Mohawks of Akwesasne Certificate of Indian Status Card; or Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Identification Card. Please present your form of identification when you vote.

Voting will take place on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at the SRMT’s Seniors Centers Sunroom, from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Once the votes have been tallied, the successful candidates will be notified of their election to the board so they can be present at the Annual General Assembly when the election results are announced.  The Annual General Assembly will begin at 6 p.m. at the same location. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Virginia “Kawi” Jacobs, Office Manager CKON Radio, by emailing kawi@ckonfm.com or by calling 613-575-2100 or 518-358-3426.
