Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

FORT COVINGTON- Peter Katsitsianoron "Football" Cook, 81, of 751 Salmon Street passed after a brief illness on Monday, May 14, 2023 at the Massena Hospital.

Peter was born on March 14, 1942, in Snye, Quebec, son of the late Alec and Mary Ann (Peters) Cook. He married Jane Gay on February 4, 1961, in St. Regis, Quebec.

Peter was an Ironworker with Local #711 Montreal. He loved watching hockey, especially his beloved Montreal Canadiens. He also enjoyed car racing and was a self-taught guitarist.

He is survived by his wife Jane; his four children Joe Cook, Daniel (Cynthia) Cook, Francine (Charles) Thompson, and James (Andrea) Cook; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Alec and Mary Ann, Peter was also predeceased by his son Pete Cook; and two siblings Freddy Peters and Rosemary Marmon.
