Kahnawà:ke 'Earth Month Clean-up' Began April 1st

Kahnawà:ke – The Waste Management Department of the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke is pleased to announce The Earth Month Clean-up, which started on April 1 and runs to April 30, 2023. This month-long clean-up event is in conjunction with the Call to Action for Earth Month.

Kahnawà:ke community residents can get involved in a number of ways including the new Kahnawà:ke Dumping Tracker designed by The Kahnawà:ke Environment Protection Office, where you can enter the area you think needs to be cleaned or find an area on the Tracker.

Kahnawà:ke residents can take ‘before and after’ photos of the area they decide to clean and post them in the Dumping Tracker, or send them to our Facebook inbox @Recyclinginkahnawake, or email them to Wastemanagement@mck.ca

All Kahnawà:ke residents participating will be entered into a draw for a chance to win prizes, including Shop Kahnawà:ke Gift Certificates, locally designed skateboards, a kayak, or a stand-up paddle board. Prizes will be drawn Monday, May 1, 2023.

For more information, please contact the Waste Management Department at 450-632-4321 or on Facebook @Recyclinginkahnawake for more information.
