The Native North American Traveling College Board of Directors is looking for a Manager for the Native North American Traveling College (NNATC). NNATC is an ever-growing organization dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Mohawk cultural heritage delivering workshops, education, and presentations to our neighboring communities and beyond. The Manager must possess an extensive

background and knowledge in Cultural and Language Programming, experience and understanding of

the requirements and challenges for the successful operation of a cultural center and museum.

Duties include:

• Development of a 5-year strategic plan

• Create reports to board of directors and financial agencies.

• Budgeting and financial management

• Project management

• Assist in developing and implementing policies.

• Writing proposals for funding

• Manage current staff while continuously working to enhance the services of the Traveling College.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field

• Strong knowledge and understanding of First Nations history, culture, tradition, and language.

• Excellent leadership ability and prior experience supervising a staff of 5-15 employees.

• Excellent communication, both oral and written

• Negotiation skills

• Fluency in the Mohawk language is considered an asset along with the willingness to learn.

• Must demonstrate sound judgement, tact, diplomacy, public speaking abilities, decision making.
