NYS to Auction More Than 1,300 Surplus Items

Items from Decommissioned Covid-19 Alternative Care Facilities

New York State Office of General Services (OGS) Commissioner Jeanette Moy today announced the State will sell more than 1,300 items of FEMA-supplied inventory from decommissioned COVID-19 alternate care facilities at two auctions taking place on consecutive days. The auctions will be held at the New York State Preparedness Training Center located at 5900 Airport Road in Oriskany, Oneida County, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on both Tuesday, November 29, and Wednesday, November 30.

Among items from the alternate care facilities to be auctioned are HVAC systems and supplies; air handling units; oxygen supply systems; electrical systems and components; lumber; plumbing fixtures and fittings; fire detection and prevention system components; scaffolding; and shipping containers.

The auctions will also feature items traditionally sold at OGS vehicle, highway equipment, and miscellaneous property auctions, including surplus generators, trucks, passenger vehicles, and more.

All bidders must register to participate in the auctions and can preregister online at

https://www/perryauctions.com to avoid waiting in line during the onsite registration periods.

Auction Details

Auction preview and onsite registration begin at 8 a.m. each day.

The auctions start at 9:30 a.m.

Payments from successful bidders are due by 3 p.m. each auction day by cash or credit card only.

Parking: signs will be posted directing people to available parking. Parking will not be permitted in the lot that serves the nearby Oneida County facility.

OGS will provide loading services at no cost for this special auction. The vendor providing these services will be onsite both days of the auction to schedule pickup times.

In addition to the dates the auctions are taking place, the site will be open for successful bidders to pick up their items between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday immediately following the auctions.

All items must be removed from the auction site by 4 p.m. on Monday, December 5.
