Hours per week: 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday

Qualifications and Responsibilities

Fluent Mohawk speaker or Functional Mohawk speaker and communication skills

Must have 1-2 yrs. experience working with school aged children

Experience maintaining an immersion environment

Ability to teach outside of classroom, in the woods, at the river, in the garden, etc.

Knowledge of our culture, history and longhouse ceremonies

Creative, resourceful and ability to work without supervision

Must have a positive attitude and be flexible, dependable and punctual

Drivers license & willingness to use personal vehicle to drive students to field trips

Ability to work well with other teachers, staff and parents, willing to attend teacher training

Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment at all times
