Richard B. Lebehn

 

Rooseveltown: Richard B. Lebehn, 47, of Mohawk River Village, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

Richard was born April 23, 1975 in Pohnpei, Micronesia, the son of Barney and Merleen Lebehn. He graduated from Marshall Island Christian School. Richard, the Iron Chef, had a passion for cooking and worked as a chef at 37 West, Maple Room, Native Harvest Buffet, Sticks Sports Bar and Koi Express in Akwesasne. In Florida, Georgia and Myrtle Beach Richard worked at Miyabi Hibachi Steakhouse.  He enjoyed golfing, singing karaoke at home, playing guitar and ukulele. Most of all, Richard enjoyed the time he spent with his children and family playing board games and watching movies. He was a very proud father of his children. Richard also liked to watch Anime, cook gourmet dishes at home and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan.

Richard is survived by his companion of over 20 years, Randa Martin; his children, Logan, Brody, Liana and Lolani Lebehn; his Mother, Merleen (Santos) Lebehn; two brothers, Clark Lebehn and Veronica Yirimyad (Kyle, Coulgan, Taijo, King Lebehn) and Brian Wilbacher; two sisters, Melany,Welly Enter-Barnabas Luther (Lujuenn, Shaquira, Alexia, Ellie, Kileu and E. B Luther) and Ilany and Marc Porter (May. Kobe, Lexus and Caiden Porter); mother-in-law, Kamala and Tony Swamp; father-in-law, Robert Martin and Sylvia Bero; sisters-in-law, Marla and Christopher Jacobs (Tawny, Hunter, Ethan, Monte), and Brittany and Dane Gorrow (Deacan, Liam, Kaleb and Heaven), Tyler Thompson, Robyn Thompson (Karisma and Tyvan)

Richard was predeceased by his father, Barney. Friends and family called at New Life Christian Church, 22 Eagle Drive off Frogtown Road in Akwesasne, starting on Monday, July 25, 2022 4:00 pm until time of service on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Burial took place in White Cemetery at 284 Frogtown Road.
