SUNY DELHI

DELHI – Rain Hill was presented with the Barbara Jones Leadership Award in April when the Division of Student Life held its annual leadership award ceremony. Students were recognized for contributing to the campus community, overcoming obstacles, or significantly improving the quality of life at SUNY Delhi.

HUDSON VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

TROY – Local student named to the Spring 2022 Dean’s List at Hudson Valley Community College. Quentin Labunski of Akwesasne, who is studying in the Fine Arts academic program.

NAZARETH COLLEGE

ROCHESTER – Nazareth students named to the spring 2022 Dean’s List.

Amanda Rourke of Akwesasne, graduated from Nazareth College with a bachelor’s degree in Bio-chemistry and Public Health during the 95th commencement ceremony on campus at the Golisano Training Center on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

SUNY POTSDAM

POTSDAM – Colonie Gray of Akwesasne, outstanding SUNY Potsdam graduate has been recognized as the academic honoree of the Class of 2022, earning the 2022 Faculty Awards.

The SUNY Potsdam Faculty Award recognizes two students in the graduating class with the highest-grade point averages. This year’s recipient Colonie Gray ’22 graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Gray is a future educator with plans to attend graduate school.

OMICRON DELTA KAPPA

Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, welcomes 1,971 new initiates from 78 universities during April 2022. Students initiated into the Society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or a graduate/professional student in the top 35% of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars, and embrace ODK ideals. Fewer than five percent of students on campus are invited to join each year. This year, two students from Akwesasne were initiated,
