THOMPSON, Ronald A. "Ronnie Red" – Passed away at the Ottawa General Hospital, on Friday May 27, 2022. Ronald Alexander Thompson was born in Akwesasne on April 2, 1953. Beloved husband of 48 years to Debbera Thompson (Jacobs). Loving father of Sadie Thompson (Tommy), Sarah Peters (Scott) and Adam Thompson (Crystal). Cherished grandfather of Kristie (Drake), Chase (Austin), Mitchell, Ronnie, Benjamin, Katana, Isabella, Oliver, Monroe, Gray, Gunnar and Story and great grandfather of one on the way.
Dear brother of Phyllis Major (late Henry), Dolores Thompson, Maryann Bonacci (John) and Morris Thompson (Elizabeth) and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ronald is predeceased by his parents the late Mary (David) and Mitchell Wishe Thompson and one brother Albert Thompson.
Ronnie was a jack of all trades; he was a member of Ironworkers local 440 and retired last year from C&D Trucking. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, watching racing, making moonshine, blacksmith work and fixing up/scouting online for parts for his cars.
Resting at LAHAIE AND SULLIVAN CORNWALL FUNERAL HOMES, EAST BRANCH 614 First St., Cornwall (613-933-2841) from 2 pm to 5 pm Sunday, June 5, 2022 and from 9 am to 11am on Monday, June 6, 2022. As per family request, masks are mandatory. Cremation. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Ottawa General Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
