Salmon River applauds graduating senior girls lacrosse players

FORT COVINGTON – The Salmon River Shamrocks applauded five graduating senior players during their Friday, May 20 home game.

Kendra Tarbell, who wears #19, is the daughter of Tina Tarbell and William Whelan. Kendra plans to attend SUNY Canton to study nursing. Kendra says her favorite memory of playing with the girls varsity team is the team celebrating her first goal.

Savannah Swamp, who wears #26, is the daughter of Art and Janet Swamp. Savannah plans to attend University of Albany to major in criminal justice. She says her favorite memory of playing with the girls varsity lacrosse memory is, "pushing Kaidance into the mud during practice."

Layla Adams-King, whose parents are Della Adams and Bennett and Renee King.

Lindsay Martin, who wears #24, is the daughter of Shawn and Andrea Martin. Lindsay will attend St. John Fisher College to double major in history and political science, and also play basketball. She says her favorite Salmon River lacrosse memory is, "missing the net freshman year in a state playoff game."

Teya Mitchell, who wears #17, is the daughter of Tina and Larry Mitchell. Teya will major in nursing at LeMoyne College and also play on the lacrosse team. She says her favorite Shamrocks lacrosse memory is, "playing goalie against Massena man down and getting the game winning save in OT."

Layla Adams-King, who wears #28, is the daughter of Della Adams and Bennett and Renee King. Layla plans to go to college at OCC and Syracuse University for early childhood education. She says her favorite memory from Salmon River lacrosse is playing with her "favorite ankle biter, Ariyah."
