The Tribal Council recognized 'Guzzy' Lazore as this month's Community Recognition Award Honoree. During Saturday, May 14th tribal meeting, Tribal Sub-Chief Agnes "Sweets" Jacobs acknowledged Guzzy for her generosity, kindness, and overall loving nature.

"Whether it's for a family member, someone in the community, or a community event; Guzzy is always there lending a hand. She is continually involved in countless community fundraisers and events; including helping at church and school fundraisers, coordinating the Annual American Legion Golf Tournament, volunteering at Snye Recreation Center's Christmas Enchantment, or organizing numerous trivia nights and Mohawk auctions; she is always there willing to lend a helping hand or to sell tickets.

Guzzy is one person you can always count on to help out in any way, shape or form – including during times of sorrow. She is always preparing and delivering meals to support grieving families throughout the community, so they don't need to worry about cooking. She never asks for anything in return."

Lazore is devoted to her family, her kids, and towards helping make our community a better place and it was an honor for the Tribal Council to recognize Guzzy as one of our community's unsung heroes.
