Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

Easter came and went, along with sunny skies in the morning, rainy afternoons and snow falling to close out the long weekend. At the start of the long weekend, several programs joined together to bring you the 'Akwesasne Eggcellent Easter Bash!' And just as promised, the event was held under the protection of Solomon Arena while the rain fell all around and young families enjoyed games, a photo booth, and the Family Fit Fun Egg Hunt Relay. And of course, the Easter Bunny made his appearance to hand out prizes.

The Levi Peters and family took home the second place Easter gift basket.

Iakwa'shatste joined Twinleaf, SRMT Health Promotion and Planning Program, MCA Wholistic Health and Wellness Program, SRMT Let's Get Healthy Program, and the SRMT Alcohol and Chemical Dependency Prevention Program to put together the Eggcellent Easter Bash.

The Bash was held Thursday, April 14th from 4pm to 6pm with plenty of young families and several Tota's with their grandkids in attendance.
