Inclusion Supervisor

AKWESASNE MOHAWK BOARD OF EDUCATION - Full Time Indefinite Position

Salary: Based on AMBE Facilitators Grid

Position Summary:

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Education, the Inclusion Supervisor is a professional who assumes lead responsibility for the direction, and coordination of the special education staff and process in the assigned buildings from screening through identification, IEP development, and placement to ensure: (l) appropriate identification and placement of students with disabilities, and (2) compliance with Board requirements for implementation. The Inclusion Supervisor will be responsible for the training and supervision of all Educational Assistants.

Qualifications:

B. Ed with a minimum of Special Ed. Part I Specialist (Ontario Certification); OR

Certification in Sp. Ed. K-12 (New York State); OR

Completed ten years of successful teaching experience in special education programs and/or related services
