Salary Level: HS07 ST 2-3 $44,029.22-$45,790.39

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Under the direct supervision of Director of Care, Registered Nurse and Registered Practical Nurse the incumbent is responsible for providing direct resident personal care and assisting residents in all activities of daily living in accordance with the Long-Term Care homes Act, 2007 and Regulations 97/10 and all other legislations. The PSW will provide for the individual needs of the assigned resident in accordance with the resident’s health care plan which maintains or contributes to their quality of life. PSW are unregulated health care providers. They work as a member of health care team under the supervision of a regulated health professional or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Personal Support Worker College Certification;

Preferred One (1) year demonstrated work experience preferably in a long term care facility;

Must have current Standard First Aid with CPR level C;

Must be current with Immunizations, Hepatitis B and Influenza.

Pass a Mandatory criminal/vulnerable sector reference check.
