St. Lawrence County COVID-19 Update

 


As of Tuesday, May 26th: No new cases of COVID-19 were reported to the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department today, keeping the total number of confirmed positive cases to-date to 199 (one hundred ninety-nine)

181 (one hundred eighty-one) cases have been released from isolation*  

No cases are hospitalized.

On Saturday, May 23, 1 (one) new case of COVID-19 was reported to the St. Lawrence County Public Health Department today, bringing the total number of confirmed positive cases to-date to 199 (one hundred ninety-nine)

2 (two) deaths have occurred; this fatality data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on 5/23/20 before 2pm (https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/views/NYS-COVID19-Tracker/NYSDOHCOVID-19Tracker-Fatalities)

7,792 people have been tested for COVID-19 as of May 23rd; this testing data comes from the New York State Department of Health and was last updated on 5/24/20 before 2pm (https://covid19tracker.health.ny.gov/views/NYS-COVID19-Tracker/NYSDOHCOVID-19Tracker-Map).

Testing is being done through both St. Lawrence Health Systems and Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Testing is by appointment only. Please call the hotline numbers below between 8a-4p if you have symptoms or feel you should be tested:

The New York on PAUSE continues through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020. This means, all non-essential gatherings of individuals of any size for any reason (parties, celebrations, meetings, or other social events) remain restricted. HOWEVER, in an executive order issued by Governor Andrew Cuomo on Thursday, May 21, 2020, “permits a gathering of 10 (ten) or fewer individuals for any religious ceremony, or for the purpose of any Memorial Day service or commemoration, provided that social distancing protocols are followed (maintaining 6 feet distance from others, wearing a face covering when social distancing is not possible, washing hands, and cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces). Provided further, that any drive-in or remote religious service may continue in excess of a ten person limit so long as there is NO in-person contact between participants.
