Another milestone before another break.
The Akwesasne Mohawk school celebrated the hard work of their students with the monthly awards ceremony held on Friday, March 6.
Top readers, attendance and character traits were honored as well as citizenship.
The Akwesasne Mohawk Police Services held their "Caught Being Good Program" in which students were spotted going above and beyond and their names were added to a raffle.
Constable Norman King of AMPS was on hand to remind the students about the Caught Being Good campaign.
He asked the different assemblies what they can do to be recognized and what some of those qualities were.
There were lots of enthusiastic responses.
As per usual the Highest percentage of attendance class were given a pizza party and it generated some excitement among the student body. It was also mentioned that this was the last week of study before March Break and that news was also received enthusiastically – from students as well as teachers.
