Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

On behalf of the St. Regis Mission Church, we want to say Nia:wen (thank you) to all those who participated in this year’s golf tournament, to all the sponsors, to the Cedar View Golf Club for hosting us, and to all the volunteers who helped make this benefit golf tournament a success.

You all are a blessing.

We would like to acknowledge Donaldson Funeral Home, Native Trading, and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe Community Partnership fund. They were our Tournament Sponsors.

We would also like to thank the following business that sponsored a golf hole for the tournament. Akwesasne Convenience Store Association, Bear’s Den, East End Convenience, Express Gas, Indian Time Newspaper, J&J Insurance, Jocks Kwikstop, Sons of the American Legion Squadron 1479, TNT Deli, Village Currency Exchange & Wild Bills. They each donated a hundred dollars or more.

Thank you to everyone that purchased “In Loving Memory” signs for their loved ones. We had over thirty signs placed at the 18 holes. The 50/50 raffle, Mohawk Auction, and Find the Queen of Hearts were a great success.

Everyone helped raise a grand total of $5,134.65 in American, and $7,608.46 in Canadian funds.

Once again, this money is allocated towards the fuel costs for the upcoming winter.
