Salary Level: MG09 ST2 $57,991.71

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Justice, the incumbent is to be a team player in a two-year project “First Nations Restorative Management Plan”. The position is responsible to design a Financial Management system for First Nations under default management. The incumbent must be able to design this pilot project based on restorative principles to assist First Nations community in the implementation of a financial management plan that is suitable based on the First Nation’s needs, values and cultural protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-Secondary education courses in the field of Financial Accounting, Paralegal, or Accounting Diploma or five years’ work as an Indigenous Financial Officer or Accounting.

• Five years of relevant experience working with a First Nations organization.
