Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

In this critical time for my family, the kindness and generosity of our community has been overwhelming. We are in awe from the fundraising through Trivia Night and the Chicken BBQ held at the American Legion and the Snye Recreation Center last month. To those who helped organize, especially Lorraine Bero, Guzzy Lazore, the Snye Recreation Group, Quiz Master Reen Cook, DJ Roger Mitchell, Station 1 and the grill masters of the HAVFD, thank you for having my back. My heart cannot express how much this means to us. To everyone who worked at the events and to our community who continues to show us the love and support of Akwesasne, I am struck by your unbelievable generosity. The outpouring of support and prayers helps me to know and remember my family and I are not alone in this fight.
