''Twas a warm and beautiful weekend when Santa made his through Akwesasne," to see all the good girls and boys. Santa made his first stop on Saturday at the American Legion in Fort Covington from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Twinleaf staff got everyone into the holiday spirit by making sure everyone had an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus to let Santa know what they would like for Christmas.

Organizer Chessie Thomas stated, "We are always trying new things. We listen to the community and what they want. We were talking with Laurie from UPS about the possibility of printing out photos with Santa. We are always evolving and changing with each year, there's more and more people participating in the breakfast with Santa. This year we have had approximately 300 people come out to visit with Santa."

Once Sunday rolled around, Santa made his way to Twinleaf West in Akwesasne. Anyone who missed their chance to see Santa on Saturday could talk to him on Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. After two successful years of hosting "Breakfast with Santa," it is safe to say this will become an annual event for Akwesasne and the surrounding area.
