St. Regis Mohawk School Students have a blast at Student Appreciation Day

On a warm and sunny Friday morning, the St. Regis Mohawk School students enjoyed their Student Appreciation Day. Students were kept busy with all kinds of activities organized for them by the Parent Teacher Organization. To assist with the bouncy house, face painting, popcorn stand and many other activities were Salmon River's high school Honor Society students. The SRMT Environment Division, Seven Dancers, and other programs also had several fun activities organized.

SRCS Honor Society students were on hand to help with the fun games and activities.

Community Resources providing program information and games: St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police , A/CDP, Let's Get Healthy, Iakwa'shatste Youth Fitness, Akwesasne Boys and Girls Club, JOM, Generations Park/Mary Terrance & Volunteers, Seven Dancers Coalition, SRMT Environment and the Nicandri Nature Center.

Vendors for the Appreciation Day included: Divalissa Homemade Treats, Mr. Cook's Donuts, Strong Roots Foundation-snow cones and Debbie & Brenda- Crafts.

Also providing fun and entertainment were: Belly Buttons the Clown, NHS Students-face painting/water slide supervision, DJ/Dance – Mr. Hahn, PTO popcorn tent and water slides were provided by Hill Top Inflatables and BD Entertainment.
