Thank you

At the final buzzer of the 2017-2018 season, we were dubbed 2nd in NY State. We would not have been able to do it without the tremendous support of the Salmon River community. It all started in Potsdam when it felt like we were playing at the Tom Cavanaugh Arena because when you looked at the stands you saw a sea of green. The cheers that came from those stands fueled us at times when we felt physically and mentally exhausted. Then the following week came and the community braved the wintry temperatures to give our girls a send off like no other on our quest to be State Champs! This trend of community support continued on to SUNY Oswego, our stands were packed with Shamrock fans of all ages. Even those that couldn't make it sent well wishes via social media platforms. This was one of the biggest crowds our girls have ever played for! It was a moment they will cherish and remember forever.

Thank you to the Salmon River community for helping us give a lifetime experience to our girls. They truly felt blessed, and cherished every moment. We will be back at States next year, more determined than ever before to bring home the championship. Once again thank you from all of us and we will see you in the stands next year to raise our Section X Championship banner in the Tom Cavanaugh Area.

With Shamrock Pride,

Coach Olivia Cook, Coach Kara Buehler & the players of the Salmon River Shamrocks Girls Ice Hockey team
