A petition under the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Family Support Act has been filed with the Court and is annexed hereto. Both the Petitioner and the Respondent are required to participate in a Mediation with the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Child Support Enforcement Unit. Your participation in this meeting will result in a finding that you have consented to the Tribal Court’s jurisdiction over this matter. Please complete and return the enclosed Financial Disclosure form to the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Child Support Enforcement Unit (SRMT CSEU) no later than (10) days prior to your scheduled Mediation date which is BLANK (If an order is entered based upon your default, you must file a motion within thirty (30) days of receiving the order of to request the Court to reopen the matter You must provide the Court with sufficient reason for your default or failure to appear. The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe’s Community Building located at 412 State Route 37 Akwesasne, NY 13655. The SRMT CSEU office is located in the basement directly across from the mailroom. If an agreement is reached during mediation this case will be taken off of the Tribal Court’s docket. If an agreement cannot be reached this matter will proceed in Tribal Court on March 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. You can serve and file with the Clerk of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Court, 545 State Route 37, Akwesasne, New York 13655, an Answer to the attached petition within 20 days of service of this summons, which is now hereby served upon you. The SRMT FSA Sec II B(c) states that parties are entitled to retain legal representation at their own expense. Each party must keep the SRMT Child Support Enforcement Unit advised of his/her current address and employer. Each party must advise the SRMT CSEU within ten (10) days of changing his/her physical address or employment.
