EPA's Region 2 Rep Attend Meeting with Scott Pruitt

The National Tribal Operations Committee met yesterday with EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. Region 2 representative, Matthew Thompson attended the meeting. Pruitt reaffirmed the 1984 Indian Policy Act, which supports the primary role of tribal governments in matters affecting American Indian Reservations.
Matthew was appointed to be the Region 2 Tribal Caucus representative in May of this year and will represent all of the Region 2 Tribes to bring forward our Environmental concerns and issues to EPA headquarters.
SRMT Environment Director Ken Jock added, "Matt continues to impress us with his commitment to environmental protection and responsible leadership. He was also our representative on the Great Lakes Advisory board in 2013 and is presently the Solid Waste Program manager."
