PERMANENT PART-TIME POSITION (24 Hrs.) AKWESASNE FAMILY WELLNESS PROGRAM DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SOCIAL SERVICES

 


SALARY LEVEL: HS10 STEP 2/3- $37,038.62-$38,520.17

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the security and safety of clients through the provision of programs services. Responsible to provide supervision on shift and is responsible for client monitoring within the program plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Two (2) year Social Service Worker or equivalent diploma.

• Three (3) year work experience working with women, men and children in crisis.

• Education/experience in mental health and addictions.

• Certification as Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICADC) is an asset.

SKILLS:

• Oral and written communications skills.

• Knowledge and understanding of family violence and the dynamics of abuse and its effects on men, women and children in crisis.

• Ability to work in crisis situations with children and families.

• Ability to work flexible hours.
