Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

After a great start in the Green Gael series, the Jr. B Indians lost three games to end their road to the Founder’s Cup.

On Friday, July 28, the Indians fell to the Gaels 16-4, on Saturday, July 29, they lost by only two, 10-8, and on Sunday, July 30 in what would be the final game of the season, they suffered another defeat with a final score of 9-2.

The Green Gaels will now take on the Orangeville Northmen, winners of the 2016 Founders Cup.

According to the Ontario Jr. B Lacrosse League website, Russ Oakes led the Indians in points for the season with 66, scoring 24 goals and 42 assists. Skye Sunday followed with 46 points - 30 goals and 16 assists, and Skkylar Thomas had 37 points, scoring seven goals and 30 assists.
