NORTH COUNTRY HONOR FLIGHT MOTORCYCLE ESCORT

 


We will be having another motorcycle escort!

On May 12th, at approximately 1:00 P.M., Cynthia, Barry Finnagan, Director NCHF, and several members of the NCHF will be arriving at the Malone AMVETS on Duane Street to start their send off. Art Plumadore, WWII, Dick Roy and Joe “Woody” Woodward, Korea veterans, will be going to Plattsburgh. Friends, family, AMVETS and Auxiliary members are going to give them a celebration send-off.

At approx. 2:35 P.M., Cynthia, Barry, and the members, will leave and go to the American Legion, Hogansburg. From 2:30 – 3:30 P.M., friends, family members, Legion and Auxiliary members will be there to greet them. At approx. 3:30 the three Chiefs (those available) will arrive to give their blessing.

Prior to this, motorcycles will have lined up in the parking lot. Hogansburg American Legion and Malone AMVETS will have assembled at the Malone fairgrounds.

We will leave Hogansburg at 4:10/4:15 P.M. SHARP, travel west on Rt. 37 through Hogansburg, to Fort Covington, to Westville, take a “L” onto Rt. 122 to Constable, take a “R” on Constable St. Rt. 30 to Malone, take a “R” on Elm St., a “L” on Main St./Rt. 11 to the fairgrounds. We will merge together at that time and head up Rt. 11 to Chateguay, Ellenburg, take a “R” on Military Tpke/Rt. 190, across Rt. 374, a “R” on Rt. 3 to the Econo Lodge. Get your family and friends and bring flags to honor these veterans as they pass by!

Their flight to Washington will take place on Saturday, May 13th from Plattsburgh, US Oval. This ceremony is open to the public. Questions: call Cynthia 518-561-2350.
