Restorative Care Aide - Iakhihsohtha

Salary Range: $37,950.68 - $39,468.71

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Activity Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible for assisting with implementation of planned recreation and leisure programs and for implementing exercises and activities recommended by the physiotherapist, occupational therapist or other allied health professionals.

Qualifications:

• College Certificate in Restorative Care, recreational Therapy or Personal Support Worker including dementia studies or gerontology;

• Two (2) years experience working the elderly in a LTC setting (preferred)

• OR Certification as a Health Care Aide with three (3) years of relevant experience working with elderly in a LTC setting and willingness to attain advanced certification.
